As we enter Week 6, we have another shortened week (as Friday, 10/09 is an official national holiday), leading with the Unit Test on Thursday, October 8th. With limited class time, it is important that I2 students continue to review and practice at home.

The main focus will be on Week 6 vocabulary in context, the story “Anna’s Surprise,” and reading comprehension. Beginning this Monday, October 5th, I will review the story carefully with students using their My View Literacy book, along with a short story summary to help them prepare for the test.

As the students all progress toward midterms, students may notice that quizzes and tests are becoming less visual and more focused on simple reading and comprehension. I continue to underline key clues in definitions and questions to help students recognize important information and develop effective study habits.

Through consistent practice and careful review, my goal is to help my  I2 students build confidence, independence, and the knowledge they need to continue progressing toward their goals.

Week 3 The Abenaki

Week 3 PPT   Story- The Abenaki As we officially begin the Grade 3 My View Literacy program, I am very proud to share that the students in I2 have shown tremendous enthusiasm and willingness to participate in our lessons. They are becoming more engaged in the learning process and are steadily developing a stronger understanding of the foundational skills we are working on in class. My goal is not only to strengthen their English skills, but also to help build their confidence and encourage them to become more independent learners. Their dedication to learning, positive attitudes, and enthusiasm for improving their English skills have been truly encouraging as their teacher. I have witnessed wonderful progress in their ability to read, understand, and comprehend the stories we study in class. It is rewarding to see their confidence grow as they develop their English proficiency.
