Week 7 The Garden of Happiness

Most importantly, I would like to express how proud I am of the I2 students! Their dedication to learning, positive attitudes, and enthusiasm for improving their English skills have been truly encouraging as their teacher. I have witnessed wonderful progress in their ability to read, understand, and comprehend the stories we study in class. It is rewarding to see their confidence grow as they develop their English proficiency.

As the I2 students are still young visual learners, I will continue to provide supportive learning materials, including picture aids and carefully prepared PowerPoint presentations and PDF review files, to reinforce vocabulary recognition, word meanings, and reading comprehension. My goal is to make learning accessible, engaging, and meaningful for every student.

Week 7 – A New Story and Vocabulary

This week, students will be introduced to a new story and a new set of vocabulary words. Unfortunately, we will once again lose a day of regular instruction, as Wednesday, October 14, is reserved for our full-day Experience Class outing.

Despite the shortened instructional week, I will continue to encourage students to stay on track with their learning and complete their assigned practice. The weekly vocabulary quiz will remain scheduled for Friday, October 16. Your support in encouraging a little review daily at home will help students maintain their learning momentum and feel prepared for the quiz.

Story Comprehension and Vocabulary in Context

Week 8 will be a full week of instruction, allowing the students more time to explore the story, strengthen reading comprehension, and practice using the vocabulary words in context. I2 students will focus not only on remembering word meanings but also on understanding how the words are used within the story and applying them to different learning activities.

Midterm Examination Preparation

With the midterm exams approaching, I want to reassure parents that  I2 students will receive structured and supportive preparation. A comprehensive study guide and detailed examination scope will be provided, and I will dedicate class time to reviewing the essential content and practicing the skills students need.

In addition, students will receive clear instructions and sample materials to help them understand what to expect for the oral examination. We will practice together in class to help them become more familiar with the format and build their confidence before the assessments.

Above all, I want the students to know that progress matters more than perfection. I am proud of the effort they put into their learning, the challenges they are beginning to overcome, and the growing confidence they demonstrate each week. Every step forward is meaningful, and I will continue to guide and support them as they strengthen their English skills.

Thank you, parents, for your continued partnership and encouragement. Together, we can help I2 students build a strong foundation, develop confidence, and discover the joy of learning English.
